The engineering team has a flat management structure. The teams are organized by functional areas. Technical decisions are made as a team taking in the feedback and thought process of the engineers. Team members are free to move between different teams based on the feedback of their team members and the status of their project.

We work from different locations across the globe in different time zones. We follow agile practices like sprint planning, daily standup, and retrospectives through Slack and perform pair programming sessions and weekly engineering talks.

About the job 👩‍💻👩‍💻

As part of the growing Information Security team, the Senior Security Architect and Engineer roles are pivotal in Paack to ensure that both Paack as a company and as a technology service is secure. The role requires a blend of architectural and technical skills, to be able to act as the Security representative at a technical level towards the product architecture projects and decisions, as well as having scripting comprehension and hands-on experience.

At Paack we strive to implement the "Security by Design" principle, which means integrating Security at development, and proactively avoiding threats at the earliest stage; the successful candidate will require a background in leading Security implementation projects, with experience in automating Business As Usual tasks. Also, as a cloud-first technology company, experience with cloud environments and technologies is essential.

Main Responsibilities🧐

• Work closely with the architecture, product, and engineering teams, bringing the Security Architecture expertise to the product design pipeline; ensure security is properly taken into account, raising and following up with detected concerns, offering proper solutions to each case

• Take ownership of assessment, definition, and implementation of Security in different infrastructure projects at Paack, both with external tools in the form of architecture and technical policies, as internally with custom-developed solutions.

• Act as a Point of Contact from the Security team to provide technical support ad-hoc, as well as help with any inquiries related to the tools owned by the Security team.

If you’re a cybersecurity engineer looking for an opportunity to expand your skills using modern cloud services, DevOps methodologies and cutting-edge cybersecurity technologies then keep reading.

We would like you to have ✅

• Experience leading and implementing security projects and solutions

• Experience with Security services, for example, ZTNA, WAF, SIEM, Host-based agents, or NextGen Firewalls.

• Experience working with cloud environments, infrastructure & services, preferrable in Google Cloud.

• Experience with scripting languages such as Python.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluent in English.
